Had Orientation Today...

and it really wasn't what I expected. I thought they were going to make it sound so tough to the point that it would scare people from wanting to return. I was so excited. Our handbooks will not be available until the first day of classes. I cannot wait until August 19th. I have waited on this for so long until I cannot think straight. Everyone that was on the waitlist got in because there were about 11 or 12 ppl. that originally got in that did not show up. I was # 4 on the waitlist. When the announcement was made, it was like waiting to exhale. I could finally breathe. I know I am jumping all over the place here but I cannot help it. We even got name badges today. I went to my car and shed a few tears. This is the easy part. The hard part is making it through 9 months of pure hell. I have my beautiful kids to help with the motivation.

For those starting this fall...Congratulations and good luck!!!:D

I'm glad you got your spot and that your orientation went well. Good luck.:yeah:

Congratulations!!! I got my acceptance letter on my birthday and I felt like I was walking on air! I did shed a few tears as I started on my nursing degree almost 12 yrs ago, and through a long series of events got sidetracked, but I feel like I'm finally so close to what I've dreamed of for so long! My little boy was with me when we dropped off my application packet and we prayed over it in the parking lot :wink2: and he's definitely my motivation! I figure I can deal with anything for the next 10mo. and then it's just 2 semesters to RN:up:

Congratulations on your acceptance.

It is such an exciting time for those of us that are about to start into a nursing program.
