Had an interview.. going back for shadowing. Good sign?

I had a job interview last year where I was asked to come in for a follow up interview and shadowing experience. It's a good sign if you get asked to come in for a shadowing experience, but it does not guarantee you the job. I did not get the position after my shadowing experience. I was a little bummed I must say.

Shadowing is a typical practice in the medical field. This allows the other staff members to feel you out, test your knowledge, proficiency, and ability to learn. You should go in confident, and refreshed on all of your basic skills and knowledge.

This is typically the last step before a job offer is made. Take it as this, you have an excellent interviewing technique; can you perform as well as you speak?

So I just had an interview for an ER position. I feel like the interview went well and they are having me come back in two days to shadow an ER nurse. Do you think this is a good sign that I will get the job or do they do this with everyone they interview? Any input is appreciated :)

I just recently went thru a slew of interviews & also did job shadowing and landed the position!

I think it's a very good sign to have u come back, it means That they want to see you again and see how well you "fit" with the staff you'd possibly be working with.

Best nugget of advice ::listen::. Also smile & be nice to everyone you meet. CNO, charge nurse or. Janitor ... Theyve all got you under a microscope!
