H-4

Hello,

Does anyone know if I can study with an H-4 visa? or I'm forced to change my status - F1?

I am well aware of all of that.......the OP was asking if they needed to get an F-1 to attend school, they already have an H-4 visa. And as stated, it depends on which state that they are going to school in, some will consider H-4 as a resident and they get cheaper tuition, F-1 is automatically considered an international student with higher tuition. Each state is free to set their own tuition rates....also depends if it is a private school, or one with public funding...............

Many nursing students wish to get experience working in a hospital as a student...............clinical hours are fewer than they used to be........nurse externships are excellent programs and I highly recommend them for everyone, however, they are not available to F-1 visa holders, without very special approval. Almost impossible to get......

hi, at present i am residing in Phoenix(AZ),I am a B Sc nurse,and i ve also completed my IELTS,(SPEAKING AND OVERALL 7),I wanted to write the NCLEX exams, so could tou help me with this? I wanted to get registred with the Vermont Nursing Board,and once clearing the RN exam, I would like to get a placement in phoenix itself,Please let me know if you can help me with this,I am at present with an H4 VISA, So let me know ,I Completed nursing in 2004,so please help me

This is a very old thread. If you are living in AZ then you are better to apply to the BON for licensure to be a RN in the US, you are not applying for NCLEX. Currently with H4 you can not work and due to retrogression there is no way to adjust your visa to work.
