What (diagnoses, etc?) exactly is the GYN floor? I'm in a FNP program, and I'm thinking about switching from Neonatal to GYN for more experience with adults. Any thoughts?

I'm not quite sure what the question is? GYN is gynecology-basically women's reproductive medical and surgical problems such as hysterectomy, cancer, etc.

GYN short for gynecologic. This pertains to women's health issues and we GYN nurses take care of all manner of patients w/GYN problems from ectopic loss to hysterectomy/oophorectomy. How long have you been a nurse? Just curious. Good luck w/your NP program studies.
I know GYN is gynecology . I just didn't know if it was more of a surgery/post-op floor or if was it was more of a general women's health floor.
