GWC or Saddleback Fall 2012

Are there any former or current students from either school that can give me some advice?

Goldenwest is closer to where I live, but I don't know much about their program. Saddleback is about a half hour from me, but after attending their information session it seems like a great program.

I would love to hear pros and cons of both before I have to make my decision.

Goldenwest has a great reputation for sure! They're known to turn out some awesome nurses. I'm sure Saddleback is pretty amazing as well. My friend graduated from there and is a great nurse. You definitely can't go wrong with either one. Why not choose the school that's closer? You'd have to deal with more traffic for the farther school. But if you liked the vibe better at Saddleback and wouldn't mind the extra minutes on the freeway, then go for it!

By the way, did you get into both schools?

Look at the NCLEX passing rate. :D

Since gw passes 8/10 students, compared to saddleback passing 9/10 students on the nclex. Big difference. You're right.

In all honesty, its the students who decide themselves how good of a nurse they want to be its not based on your nclex scores. If the school was in the 70% and lower range, then I would probably think about switching schools.
