GTCC Fall 2016 Nursing Program

Just wondering if anyone is applying for the Fall 2016 Nursing program at GTCC? The deadline isn't until February, but I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone has already applied, and how many they applied with. Any info is helpful. Thanks.

I guess it varies from one semester to the next, but I know that last fall they had less than normal applicants and actually extended the deadline to allow more people to apply.

Okay, so I just called the school and the woman who answered the phone said that they went out two Fridays ago and proceeded to tell me that the forum that we're on right now is wrong and that people had come in already accepting the letter. I then told her that somebody sent a message to Angela Dalton and she replied that letters weren't going out till this week and the woman completely backtracked and changed her story.... I don't know what's going on but this is super unorganized.

Why would she say the letters went out 2 weeks ago and people were accepting letters when none of us ever got one? Yeah Angela told me there were changes in the nursing department and letters are going to be mailed this week. This is really strange

That's what happened when I called last week...I think that one advisor told the rest of them that the letters went out already. I'm just going to go by what Angela Dalton said

I don't know why, but I am not very happy about it. .. why lie? These letters are obviously so important to us, they are going to reveal what our future is...

I agree... one thing that I have learned from gtcc is not to depend on what one person tells you. I actually applied last semester even though my points are on the low side, and I waited and waited for a letter. Finally I went up to the school and they informed me that they didn't even have my application on file. They had somehow lost it...so when the advisor filled out the new application for me, I ended up losing about 5 points due to new changes as well as one advisor giving me points and another one telling me it didn't count. So just always check up on your stuff.

How did you know for sure that they had your application? Now I'm starting to get worried. Something like this would happen to me lol

Honestly I just waited until I had heard other people say that they had gotten their letters...I wouldn't worry unless others start getting letters and you dont.

Yeah I got worried too when I heard that lol

Wow crazy. What on earth is going on

Sorry I didn't mean to scare you guys...I just don't want that to happen to someone else..so just stay on top of them.
