Greetings

Hi every one. I would like to learn more about what is going on in the field of nursing in larger cities. How have the recent policy changes in health care impacted delivery of nursing care in the emergency rooms? I feel like I am somewhat isolated from all of the consequences of health policy changes. I do not work in a hospital setting. I work in a community mental health setting. I am sure it has affected my facility too, but not as drastic. Please educate me on what is being felt by nurses in the emergency rooms. Has your nursing care been compromised? If so, why. What are the legal causes of overcrowding in the ER's. How have health policies both federal and state effected delivery of nursing care in the emergency room?

Those are very complicated questions. Almost sounds like a school assignment because it would take a ten page paper to answer them. LOL
