The H-1B visas are not available to nurse in the US any longer, they have not been for over two years. And if anyone telly you otherwise, then they do not know of the expedited process for the green card.

The green card, or permanent residency, is the only visa that is available to an RN for working in the US.

If you are already in the US, and get an AOS filed on your behalf, that process is still towards the green card, and the EAD that gives you permission to work is not a visa.

I have been getting too many pms where nurses tell me that they are going to get an H-1 visa, they do not exist.

It is minimum of 4 1/2 months before you would be able to begin work, no other way to do it legally before that. You cannot even begin the process for at least two months, and now some of the attorneys are recommending three months before applying.

Because it looks like nurses were specifically coming to the US to find work and stay. And that is in violation of immigration rules. Remember?

Apparently, there have been some nurses that have been denied because of this, but I have not come across any. This is just waht I am hearing, and what an immigration lawyer that I really trust is doing in many cases now.

I am a nursing student now and will get my BSN in August.(I am on F-1 visa) I am looking for job now. It's easy to get a job but hard to get support for green card. I know in my one year OPT, I need apply for 140 and 485. I am not sure what should I do and how can I do it. If you have any idea, please let me know thanks. I really appreciate

I just graduated from college (RN) and just recently came to the US via K-1 visa. I have not taken the local board exam yet (Philippines). I'm currently living in California and would like to know what steps i need to take to become eligible for NCLEX. Thanks in advance.

I passed nclex-california and planning to work in texas. I have read in their website (Texas) that the required IELTS is overall score of 6.5 and minimum of 6.0 in all 4 modules.

My questions are:

1. How can I apply for Texas lic.

2. My IELTS score is.. overall 6.5, listening 7.5, reading 6.5, writing 6.0 and speaking 6.0. Does this mean I met the IELTS score for Texas lic.? How about for visa screen?? We all know that Speaking should be 7.0
