Great Lakes

Can anyone offer any information about working for Great Lakes Home Care and Hospice in Michigan as a RN?

Thanks in advance.

use caution...they are for profit and VERY productivity oriented. they have grown quickly and their clinical support systems have not grown as quickly. communication is an issue. fair and equitable treatment of employees is questionable. there is little professional autonomy and thus professional staff retention is problematic.

Thanks to you, Tewdles.

I picked up on some of their "deficiencies" and did not take the job.

A couple of weeks ago, I met a recent ex-employee who called it the "#1 worst job in nursing".

that is pretty much my take on it...

too bad really, I think when they were smaller the staff enjoyed working for them...now...most of the professionals I know who have worked for them have the scars to prove it.
