Grading practice test in ATI manual

Published

I have the ATI manual and have taken both practice tests. I have graded them both and know how many questions of each section I've missed, but am unsure how to get the percentages. Are all questions weighted the same? I have tried to google it, and looked on the ATI website but can't seem to find what I'm looking for unless I'm just overlooking it.

Well let's say for example English and language arts there are 34 questions. 30 of them count. So if you only got 4 wrong then you would get a 100. For that section. If your having trouble figuring out the percentage.. google teacher grading calculator and subtract how many you got wrong but don't forget to subtract the 4 bonus questions they give you. There are a lot of percent questions in the math section and you should know them backwards so I suggest you figure it out by hand. Good luck on your test

Hi! The real exam has 170 questions and 20 are unscored ..they are random and you do not know which ones are unscored so try your hardest on all, questions because none of them are bonus questions. Also the way they are scored is different from regular scoring. They adjust the individual score by the weight of each queation... for instance on my exam I missed 11 ...which would have been in the 90% but because the questions are weighted differently they adjust the individual score so I only ended up with 88% ! Also answer all, questions ..do not leave any blank ...they take off points for blank answered but not wrong answers if that makes sense lol! Hope this helps :)

On page 239 of the ATI manual it tells you there are 170 items on the exam with 20 of those questions are not scored.

Next paragraph it tells you these 20 items are not included in the manual.

Since there are only 150 questions, divide the number you answered correctly by 150 for the total test score.

You can find the individual section score by dividing the amount you answered correctly by the total questions, for example, reading section has 42 items.

I believe each question is scored the same.
