Hi guys- a little bit of a long question so bare with me.
I recently got accepted into a competitive lpn-rn program. One of the classes you need to take for the program is algebra. I decided to take it ahead of time to get it done with. It was online and the first week I had a hard time getting on and couldn't navigate the course. I emailed the teacher and asked her for help and how to access the online textbook. The teacher provided no help and told me pretty much just to figure it out. I tried and still couldn't. Due to that, the first 2 assignments locked on me and I couldn't complete them. There's not many quizzes so that first week really dropped my grade. My question is will I get dropped from the program if I only get a c in the math class? Anyone have any experience with a situation like this? I've always gotten A's so I'm super stressed and worried.

How the heck could anyone possibly answer that? How would anyone know the rules of your program when they don't even know what program you're in?

Ehuggins, why don't you send your program an email and see what they say? I wouldn't get into the technical difficulties because that may seem like you're making excuses and nursing program don't usually like that.
Also, focus on what you can do in the future if you run into technical difficulties again. For example, at my college, we are told to contact tech support if we need technical help, not the professor. There's also usually an earlier start date for online classes so any bugs can be worked out.
This is all critical thinking - which you will need to be good at as a nurse.
Good luck!

Why didn't you just drop the class when you realized you couldn't figure it out and take it later in person.
I have a new philosophy that I'm trying. When something has already happened, I try not to focus on what I could have done at a (now-obvious-in-hindsight) point and instead focus on what I can do now. I do try to draw on past experiences that help me make decisions in the future.
After all, the OP asked about what to do now, not what she should have done at the beginning of the semester.

OP: it would depend on your program, and the only way to find out is to call/e-mail them and ask.
And definitely don't use the "couldn't figure things out online" excuse. Nursing school will expect you to get assignments done come hell or high water. The "technical difficulties" excuse is so overused and abused that short of you providing proof of an Act of God that prevented you from getting the assignment done, they won't take that excuse seriously.
Best of luck.
