I am now officially a GPN! Graduation went very well last night. I got awards for best attendance, best bedside manner and highest LPN assess test score! WOW!

So, I have been trying to sleep in the last two days, and eight thirty is the LATEST! ARGH. When I was in school, I could sleep til noon on my days off, NOT NOW.

I start full time as a GPN on Monday and will hopefully get my boards taking within the next three weeks. Our school really prepped us. we had to get an 80% on a Mock-NCLEX, 150 questions from the CD attached to our books in order to graduate. Then, one teacher gave us a 100 question test of which the questions she chose were hard in order to give us a challenge. I got a 67% and she said if one got a 66% then that was very good. So, I feel pretty good. I have been practicing the NCLEX questions since March and will continue to do so until I get the OK to test.

So, gonna rest this weekend, I have four days off then back to the work week. I am very excited. I love to work.

Congrats!!! What State Did You Graduate From? I Graduate From Pn School Aug.10 13 Days!!! Can't Wait. Good Luck On Your Nclex Sounds Like You Will Do Great. We Have The Saunders Nclex-pn Book And Our Instructor Gave Us A Cd Test And Told Us If We Got A 65 Out Of 100 We Would Be Good. I Kept Getting 64's Then Finally Got A 72 And Then A 68 I Need To Keep Up The Practice But Hope That Is Really True About The 65. I Am Getting So Very Nervous. I Have 2 Days Of Preceptor Left!!!

Woot! Congrats!

I graduated from a school in Columbia, Missouri. A very wonderful school, but sadly not great enough for college credit. So even though I am a GPN I got no college credit for the classes I took. Lucky for me, I had some school prior so I am not that far behind, but am ten years out of HS.

It feels so strange. I keep thinking I have to do something atleast Monday night-I mean, for one full year I have done nothing but eat, sleep, dream and live LPN school. Now that it is over, I have no clue how to FEEL.

I work with my mom, and she said she has been bragging on me all day every chance she got and of course, i will work with her as a GPN too, so all those folks are my co-workers who have been pulling for me all year as well.

So, I start Monday and can't wait!!!

Thank you all very much!:studyowl:

well, now, you can live, breathe and eat nclex... but seriously, yes, it is strange when you finish, because your body, mind and soul was on red alert for some time, and it is like waiting for another bomb to drop. when you complete the boards, you may feel like that as well. there are many that say that they actually missed school, and the challenge of the mind once they finished (i was not one of them...), but yes, celebrate! do something nice for yourself, for at least a few days to a week, and then plan how you will study for nclex.
