GPA in Hunter A2D Program

Hello! I'm currently a student at Stony Brook working on my English degree, looking to get into the accelerated program at Hunter once I graduate. I'm currently taking summer classes at a local community college and am having some difficulty with my A&P course.

The Hunter website states that you need a B or higher in the prerequisites and I anticipate getting around a B+ for my A&P course; my GPA at Stony Brook is around a 3.8.

I know Hunter bases their acceptance off 50% GPA and 50% NLN exam, but I was wondering if the GPA grading was biased toward the pre-requisites. Will having lower grades in the pre-requisite classes matter (compared to the courses for my English workload) if my overall/cumulative GPA is high? If I do a bit poorly on some prerequisites, will it hurt my chances of getting in despite my overall GPA being decent?

Hi there! I am at Hunter and have considered applying to its ABSN for a while, but it is no longer the case. First of all, having a perfect 4.0 GPA is not a guarantee you will be admitted. The seats are very few and applicants are very, very, very many. You can certainly try, but make sure you have plan B, C, and D, because plan A will most likely not work out.
