Glendale Weekend Program Spring 2011

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I thought it would be fun to start a thread for everyone who was accepted to the Glendale Weekend program for Spring 2011. I live in the East Valley, and if there are others out this way maybe we can set up some carpools and study groups.

I got my acceptance letter yesterday for the GCC nights and weekends program for Spring 2011. I was happy to see someone else had posted. I currently live out towards the east valley, but come this december I am looking to move to an area a little closer to the school.

But I am definatly interested in getting a study group going as soon as school starts and possible car pooling!

I am so excited for school to start, but the more and more I read, the more nervous I start to get. Hope to get to know you better and anyone else who is going to be in this program!

I am nervous too. I have a busy family life, so I am hoping that I am going to be able to survive the next 2 years!

Hey mom2twinz and layciem. I was accepted to the weekend program as well. Super excited after such a long wait. I live in the West Valley. Look forward to getting to know you better in the coming years! There is a slight chance I may have to use my one time deferral and start in Fall 2011. Hopefully that won't be the case!

I am excited to get to you know you ladies too. I told my husband yesterday that I had "met" 2 girls from my class, and he thought I was crazy :lol2:.

I have been on the list for pretty much 5 years! The first time, I used my one time deferral, and then the next time I was placed I had newborn twins, so I had to withdraw my application and reapply. This time I had to use my deferral again, and now I am finally getting in! Things are crazy right now too, but I know that there is never going to be a "perfect" time to start, especially with 4 young children. My time stamp for this application was 2/08. It's been a long time coming!

I hear you on there not being a "perfect" time to start. We have a pretty busy family life as well, but only forsee it getting busier, so no time like the present to start nursing school.

Oh, and actually, I am male.

We have two daughters and my wife is in a relatively new career. It's going to be hectic until we get the pace down, but we have every confidence (almost) that we can make it work out.

Hi all! My name is Brittney. I am also starting the Weekend Program at GCC this Spring. I am sooo excited! I am def. insterested in joining a study group. I live in the north east valley & may be interested in carpooling, also. I can't wait to meet all of you :) Has anyone received an orientation packet or anything other that the acceptance letter?

I received a note that orientation packets for the weekend program will be sent out towards the end of November. Wish it was sooner, but at least I know to not be watching the mail so closely until then!

Hi all,

Sorry for just jumping in on your thread:clown: I just wanted to ask any or all of you a favor. I am hoping to get in for Fall 2011 and was wondering if you guys could post what your schedules look like on Fridays and Saturdays hours, times, or where you have to be, when lecture is....ect.. Anything would be helpful for someone like me trying to decide if the GCC program is right for me.

Thank you all

Crystal

I am happy to report that I was placed today for the Spring 2011

Glendale weekend program. My date and time stamp was 06/16/2009

08:00:17. What a long wait.

My name is Lezlie, married, 3 step-kids, business owner and Office Mgr

for my parents business. I too have a hectic schedule and am

very anxious to get the show on the road. I will continue to monitor

this thread in the event we decide to meet up prior to orientation.

Good luck to all and congrats!

Many congrats AZCodeBlue. Look forward to meeting you and getting this show on the road as well!

Has anyone received notification that they have been enrolled in classes yet? I know there is a payment deadline coming up this Fri. Am a little nervous I may have missed something.

Thanks
