getting a job

where do you find new nursing jobs? None of the hospitals in my area seem to be hiring, but I know there's more out there. I dislike the job I'm at now-with a passion! Majority of my experience is LTC/Sub Acute, so I wouldn't mind something like that.

where do you live? what's your degree? RN or LPN?

RN, BSN in Pittbsurgh, PA :)

The economy seems rough in the 'Burgh. Have you looked further out, like Monroeville, Weirton, Chippewa, etc. (assuming you would want to drive that far)? Good luck!

You're more than welcome to move to New Mexico! It's beautiful here!

Mukfay, are there jobs in New Mexico? We are looking at the Truth or Consequences area.

I'm not so sure about T or C. I checked out the website for the main hospital down there, but they didn't have postings for RNs. There is one LPN position posted right now http://svhnm.org/html/employment.html. If you could tell me your specialty, how sure you are about where you want to work, and what you are looking for in a community, I can help more. helpwantednewmexico.com is a good website. The appeal for me here is the mild (dry) summers, windy springs, inexpensive COL, friendly people, beautiful landscapes, and - of course - the Hatch Roasted Green Chile!!!

Regards,

Mukfay

Thank you Mukfay. I sent you a PM.
