Hello,
I am a pre-nursing student who completed all of my pre-requisites last year. I was looking for some tips on how to succeed into getting into the RN nursing program this year. For example, what was the best study guide that helped you to pass? I know the PAX-RN is made up of 4 sections (Science, Math, English, Chemistry). But that is as much as I know about the test. So please, if anyone has any tips or ideas about which study guide is helpful, let me know. Thank you!

Just took the nln in june and got accepted to my school. My advice to you is to make sure you do well on all sections! My school in particular looks critically if you did poorly in any section, it sticks out like a sore thumb if you got a 50% or lower in a section, even if you may have a score of 130
Congratulations on getting in :). I hope I do as we'll. I ordered the nln study guide and will start studying immediately. Thanks everyone for the advice. Wish me luck :)
Thanks, the book kind of helps when it comes to the science and math. Not so useful for verbal. Still pretty good practice nonetheless. Some people say GED study guides are useful for verbal and math, but i cant vouch for that since i only relied on the book. What i did was do all the questions and exams, and timed myself. Then read over what i did wrong and made sure i wont make the same mistake twice. Verbal has 80 questions in 60 Minutes. Math has 50 and science i think has 60. A lot of people ran out of time for the verbal section because they thought it was 60 questions so they took their sweet time!! Verbal has like 5 critical reading passages. Good luck on the test. :)
Thanks so much for the advice. I will be receiving the non study guide next week in the mail. I won't be taking the test until January so I have a good amount of time to study for the test. My math isn't the best as well well as science but I did very well in yay English and writing classes so I hope that helps. I am going t check into the GED study guide. Anything I can do to pass lol. I'm scared to death! Lol I bet you are so excited. When do you start?
Super excited! I start in the fall early September. Bought so many nclex and fundamental supplemental books already.
Never too early to practice the nln. The math i found a lot of the questions you can manipulate into proportions and solve for x. It's what works for me. :)
Ugh I hate those kinds of questions solving for x lol. I will start studying immediately. I'm so excited. My friend who started the prerequisites a little before me just graduated the rn program. Se excited for her but so jealous lol. I am just lost at what to do to get in. I guess studying the nln should be enough?
