Hello there, I have been reading this forum for ideas since I really want to get into dialysis. I have 5 years as a LPN and 1 year as a RN all in LTC or LTAC. I followed the advice here to go on the dialysis company career sites and apply for jobs that say 'will train or 'open to new grads', but no bites. I had a sign of hope last week when the recruiter emailed to schedule a phone interview, then the next day emailed to say the facility had already filled that opening.
Anyways,,I am pretty much willing to relocate anywhere in the country that will offer training and at least allow me to get my year of dialysis experience.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I just walk into on of the local clinics and ask if there hiring even if there is no job posting on the company website? I know the nurses are busy all day at the clinic and wonder if walking in would seem intrusive.
Any leads anywhere in the country?
Thanks!

DSI Renal was just purchased by Davita..I'd go to Davita, DSI and Fresenius web sites - look at whats open and go from there. Also http://www.indeed.com you can look for dialysis jobs. I just interviewed for a position w/DSI today..am not very hopeful as I think she is wanting someone w/experience but...she did ask for my references and full resume...good luck
Thanks Marshall.
I have applied to several positions at Davita and FMC. No bites yet but I have hope.
Good luck on your search

Where abouts in the country are you? I know Centers for Dialysis Care in Nr Cleveland are always recruiting, they do the 12 week training program
Thanks Madwife2002. I will definitely check them out. I am willing to go anywhere in the country as long as I have a solid job offer before moving. Nothing holding me back here.
