Hello there, I have been reading this forum for ideas since I really want to get into dialysis. I have 5 years as a LPN and 1 year as a RN all in LTC or LTAC. I followed the advice here to go on the dialysis company career sites and apply for jobs that say 'will train or 'open to new grads', but no bites. I had a sign of hope last week when the recruiter emailed to schedule a phone interview, then the next day emailed to say the facility had already filled that opening.
Anyways,,I am pretty much willing to relocate anywhere in the country that will offer training and at least allow me to get my year of dialysis experience.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Can I just walk into on of the local clinics and ask if there hiring even if there is no job posting on the company website? I know the nurses are busy all day at the clinic and wonder if walking in would seem intrusive.
Any leads anywhere in the country?
Thanks!
