Okay I am currently taking the pre-reqs to apply to a ADN program near me. I have 4 classes left A&P 1&2, Organic Chemistry and Micro. This semester I took A&P 1 and Chemistry:
My current GPA is a 3.343
I just got my grade back from A&P and I received a "A".( So I am supper excited about that)
I struggled allot with Chemistry and when I calculated my score I came up with 78.6. I still have one more test which my teacher says cannot take away from your grade It can only add:
For example she stated: If you get a 60 then 6 points will be added to your grade a 40= 4 points etc...
( she did say the test is not made by her , its by the school and the highest someone got was 60)
So I am just accepting the fact that I might get a C in Chem( I would need a 40 on the final to get a B because that would be 4 points added to 78.6) but judging off how much I struggled I don't even think I can even get a 40
The Minumum GPA for ADN programs near me range from 2.5-2.8.
Do you think this can mess up my chances of getting into a ADN program. I still have Micro & A&P 2 which I plan to get a A in. How much lower will my GPA be because of the C. Do you think I should take it over?

Some schools require Chemistry as a pre-req and reward it with points or add that to their overall application evaluation, others will judge it as a co-req simply needing completion. Not knowing what schools you're looking at there is no way tell what the case would be. Typically, you'd want the best grade possible when you're applying but if the situation falls in the latter category and your grades are strong otherwise you may not need to retake it at all. I would suggest looking into ADN programs that you're interested in and check out their application process.

I got a C in chem. Luckily for my school it is just a coreq and not something that counts for "points" for admission. Each school is different. I don't think your GPA will drop below a 2.8 as long as you keep up with everything else. My advice is to talk to your student rep/assistant who is there to help you.

"do you think" ??? Contact the school you plan to apply to and ask if you can get in with a C in Chemistry. In nursing "do you think" isn't really a way to go about things. Get EVIDENCE. In this case it is easy to obtain. When I got my BSN my school required a B or higher on all pre reqs. Schools are different.
In the future figure out the requirements before hand so you know what you need to achieve.
THANKYOU for all you comments and advice , I just received my grade a surprisingly I received a "A" in the class. I aced the final and she gave everyone in the class 5 points added to there overall grade. I'm so excited IDK what to do. I thought I was doomed.
Thanks again
