Med. surg for sure, but cardiac has give you alot of experience to because EVERYONE has a cardiac history and sometimes are on cardiac floors for other things.
i want to get the maximum experience that i can while in school in order to have a better job window.
thank you

choose med-surg adult care. I have chosen that path and I have become a flexible nurse. I can function efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision during the first few days of orientation in special areas because I had a strong foundation with clinical nursing practice in medical-surgical unit. You will be more confident and rich with experiences which you can eventually apply should you finally decide a career path in the future.
how do i go directly into med. surg.?
i am currently doing my lpn which will take care of all the pre-requisites to get into nursing school.
also, should i do the lpn bridge to rn when i get my license or should i start from rock bottom-as?
I suggest you go over your institution's curriculum particularly the nursing program and ask for advice from those in the Health Sciences department. With what i know, before you can pick which area you really want to focus on, you still have to study and pass all major nursing subjects. You will get to be assigned in different areas as you complete the required number of hours in related learning experience as a student nurse. I am certain that different countries/states have different nursing education programs. I can't be of significant help, sorry.
