So someone private messages me and for some reason I can't send them my response so I'm going to share it here.

GCCs evening program is some times referred to as their hybrid cohort and like all other cohorts is done in 4 semesters (2 years).

I appreciate you for sharing that! I wouldn't doubt that I was the one who msg'd you! Haha. I'm not well versed w/ this forum site quite yet, but I'm getting there. And having 2 previous Bachelors degrees (Psychology & Spanish) I'm still familiarizing myself w/ all the diff nursing pathways & what might be best suited for me at this time w/ my family. I'm assuming those cohorts are done in a standard Fall & Spring format? No summers included...?

Yup fall and spring. The only one that does summers is gwcc accelerated cohort.

Sweet! I'm thinking I'll go to that info session today to find out about both. U know if doing accelerated is still an option to do in the evening/weekends? ...I'll definitely ask that later on today. What is your schedule looking like now for the block that you are in?

No the accelerated is morning classes.

I'm block 1 evenings at GCC and this semester I have lecture Tuesday's from 5 to 9, lab Wed from 5 to 10 and lab/clinicals on Sat. Sat labs were before My clinicals started and the class was from 730am to 12ish. My clinicals just started and I'll be at the site from 6am to 4pm. Some of my classmates have clincals on Sundays.

Keep in mind each semester is different. So days and times can change.

Got it. Surprised your only in clinicals once a week rt now! I suppose it'll be much more often the closer you get to finishing...? Looking forward to the info session today. Thx so much for your help!

Does anyone know what the traditional classes are like? It says Mon-Fri on the GCC website and it doesn't say times or even a general time, but I've also read that its only three days? There isn't much detail on the difference between traditional, weeknight, and weekends on the GCC website? I'm attempting to figure out which would be convenient for me because I have to keep my flexible job while I go to nursing school. I would highly appreciate it if you guys could fill me in on the different schedules. Thanks!

You can find some information if you Google GCC nursing welcome page.

Shanty, with having a previous BA... Have you looked into any of the MSN programs for students with previous bachelors?

You know, there's a CEP program through GCC here in AZ also, where you receive your AAS & MSN, but no BSN.

But I haven't decided if I'm ok with the figures ($) for that whole program yet. But, I think my options are limited in going straight to a MSN program while not having a nursing background/education.....?

But idk...Maybe I should do some more research on what MSN programs could be available to me..[emoji106]🏾

Check out the NAU one. I'm in the process of getting more info. It's not concurrent. But I had a friend that's in the advanced nursing profession look at it and she said it looks really good. She didn't care for the Grand Canyon one.
