GC question - help needed

Published

Hello,

I am an international student and i am graduating from a BSN program in may 2008.....

I recently had a talk with one agency in conneticut and i came to know from them that they can apply for my GC and i can get the EAD in 50-100 days and start working with them......the only requirements from them was that i should be on a current visa status (i mean my visa should not be expired or i should not have over stayed) and i should have a conneticut RN license......

Now i was wondering if it is true?

I read the posts here and as per my knowledge i thought that you cant work because of the retrogression......so i am confused here.......

I asked them specifically about retrogression too.......they said they have petitioned for many nurses and they petitioned for 4-5 nurses before 4 months and they have their EAD already.....and they are working for them...

Pls do help me here......i am not sure what is true and what is wrong.....

Thanks in advance......

Raj

Did you do any background research on this agency? maybe that will be a good place to start. Just make sure you don't sign a contract that ties you to them through the retrogression.

Verify everything and be certain first.

Best wishes.

Sorry, but it is not for anything legal. The EAD is only used for those going thru AOS processing and since there are no visas available at this time, they are doing something that is not quite kosher and then you become subject to being deported.

I suggest that you contact US immigration about what they are telling you and get their opinion on this, as well. And you will see that the agency is actually operating illegally and doing something fraudulent for the visas.

There are just not any available and the US government is not even accepting the petitions for the EAD right now, so someone is not being honest someplace. And suspect that it is the agency.

Do your own research directly with the US Immigration office near you and get their take on it. This upstanding agency may have submitted someone last summer when there was the open window, but that is no longer available. So out of luck, but do wish that you will report them for doing something that is not right.
