Hey FUTURE Fall 2011 FNP students,
I applied to TWU Denton campus and UTA for both of their FNP programs. I wish to attend Fall 2011. I haven't heard back from either of them on whether I've gotten accepted.
Has anyone applied to these schools for the FNP program fall 2011?
Has anyone applied to ANY SCHOOL for the fall 2011 and heard back yet? IF so, what schools? And what are you going to do to "prepare" before August?
I'm excited about going back to school. I hope I get accepted! I want to hear from the NEW FALL 2011 FNP STUDENTS!!

I applied to USI in Indiana I heard back in february or march. I was accepted but don't start till spring. It's part time so I'm not really preparing because it's only 1 class at a time.

I applied to Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing for the fall (FNP). I applied months ago and won't find out until mid-late June. I am doing nothing to prepare! LOL Trying to enjoy my kids and relax before the real work begins.

I was accepted at LaSalle's FNP program to start in the fall. I will be attending full-time.
I have applied to Frontier for the Fall, but I will not find out until late June whether I am in or not.
As far as what I am doing to prepare, I have already filled out my fasfa. If you haven't done so yet, you can do that at any time, just put in both your schools where they let you list schools.
Really nothing too much that I am doing. We are cleaning out the office this weekend #1 Because it needs it, and #2 So I can prepare a work/study place. My program is mostly distance so I will need the space.
Dang, I forgot about fafsa. I gotta do it for me n the kid. Shoot!
OMG, REALLY?! Did you call the Registrar or the actual Nursing Department? I'm sooo nervous! But I am very antsy and want to KNOW if I got accepted or not! So I will DEFINITELY BE CALLING TODAY!
So TELE JELLY, how many years of experience do you have and what area do you work in?
I will have 2 years of nursing experience at the end of July and I work in a Medical/Telemetry/Oncology floor. I will let you know if I'm accepted! Hopefully we're CLASSMATES!
CONGRATS @ CHRISTINEN!
I'm still on the fence about whether or not to go to school FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME. I know I will definitely be working FULL-TIME. I have no other option. So, I'm leaning more towards school PART-TIME. But I have no kids or spouse. So, I've heard others say its possible to go FULL-TIME work & school! GOOD LUCK!!
@ NAURN - yes, good point about FASFA! I've done mine. I almost forgot you can do that for graduate school too!
CONGRATULATIONS!!

I was accepted to George Washington University's fnp program for the fall. Trying to decide if I go part time and keep working or go full time and quit my job. Not loving my job right now, but feel really guilty about leaving but could probably continue to work PRN if I wanted. (And if I don't upset my supervisor too much, she wrote me an awesome reference.) I am worried if I will be able to handle the work load no matter what option I choose!
Congratulations to everyone!

Wow congrats on getting into GW! I currently work two PRN jobs and am debating quitting one of them since I'm going to be attending school full-time.
