fundraising

Hi Everyone

I work for a not-for-profit hospice, and as most do, we struggle with funds/money. I was wondering what type of fundraisers your hospice does? We currently have an annual butterfly release and a bike ride that is very popular. Both, usually raise some much needed money that we use to care for our charity pts. What do you guys do to help raise funds at your hospice??

Thanks in advance!

Fund-raisers that I have seen in different cities for different hospices:

Silent Auctions

Wine tasting

Comedy club

Green House/Plant sales

Dinner events

Afternoon/family events

For me, the point is to discover "who" is in the community and then offer them things that are attractive to their lives. What works in Alaska may not work in Detroit, etc.
