FSCJ SPRING 2015

Hello, everyone!

Since no one has started a Spring 2015 for FSCJ Nursing, I thought I would start it. I plan on applying the beginning of September I will take the exam in august. I'm very nervous of course. I have a preq gpa of 2.87 but I have an overall gpa of 3.23. Has anyone heard that FSCJ has changed their entrance exam to the HESI A2? Anyone applying to FSCJ hoping to get accepted for the spring?

I'm torn between n and w and days because of my daughter and we are having another one soon.

I work out of my home office and my computer is facing the street window. I am staring at the mailbox all day. :)

Isn't there a possibility that we can get something today of they sent it out on Friday.

If they didn't drop it in the mailbox until late Friday I don't see why not. :)

Lisa, I believe everything happens for a reason. Your husband will be much happier as a nurse I believe :). I wish I could stomach nursing I would do it too. I cant even see blood etc. Makes me faint. :( I am an emergency coder so I get to read all the charts etc.

my husband and I work opposite shifts ever since our two children were born.

We feel the same way. He works as a medical supervisor at a plasma clinic and enjoys being with patients. He was working in the ER at shands as an ED tech until we moved to Chicagoland area for a little while.

With my husbands points being so low he actually won't get to pick what shifts. He is just hoping for days so that he doesn't have to switch to day shift.

We have an 18 month old daughter and we are expecting our second. It's a little boy. I know some may say I'm crazy to take on all this at one time but we are doing g what's best for our little family. It will be a struggle for a while but it will pay off. I have a great support system, I don't know what I'd do without my mother-in-law.

I currently work at St Vincent riverside. I will not work at all while in the program. It will be too much for me. Maybe in the 3rd term I can start working. I hope your husband gets what he wants and needs to keep your schedules to accommodate your family.

I want days as well. the company I work for is extremely flexible with me since I work from home as an emergency room coder and this gives me the option to work at night and see my kids still. especially since my husband will be deployed for part of my schooling.

It will be a struggle for everybody who has kids, either married or is a single parent. People have done it before so I am staying positive. It will be a challenge but there is a big payoff at the end. :)

I wish my husband would not have to work but he carries our medical insurance and one income is not paying the mortgage and the rest of the bills.
