Stars glad to hear that she seems better behaved with the new regimen

NJ22 that sounds like an interesting podcast

Tweety glad work was OK

Dianah glad the cat is doing well

Work was good yesterday, nothing unexpected and no new cases.

Did get the cat into the vet after work yesterday, a repeat X-ray and ultrasound shows some sort of abdominal mass.  With the equipment there they couldn't get a clear view.  So I'm going to call a veterinary imaging provider who can do a more detailed ultrasound.  I know it's almost certainly something malignant, but I figure I owe to it the cat to check in the unlikely event that it's something treatable

In the meantime we're trying steroids to improve symptoms and improve appetite, after the first dose some increased energy but no appetite.  Apparently cats can go a few days without eating before liver damage results, so we have some time.  But if this doesn't work then we're pretty much out of options

Decided to keep the day off today, will take the cat in for the advanced ultrasound if I can get an appointment today.  Otherwise plan to take it easy, spend some time bird watching this morning

Will be much colder today, in the low 40s

Good morning.

Sorry to hear about the cat.  Hope you get an appointment today.

Dianah glad that Ciri is doing better.

Nothing much going on here.  Slept decently until Waffles told me it breakfast time.  It was 5:58 and her breakfast is usually at 6:00 AM.

Have some sheets in the wash.  I'm still feeling a bit fatigued.  Hope it passes as I feel like I'm slogging through the day and unfocused.

Good Morning~No, Nannie didn't give me any trouble about going to bed earlier last night's  "Adventure's In Multiple Rapid-Egress Bowel Evacuations" . She was tired enough after the whole clean-up, which took close to an hour due to the 3 sequential 'eruptions'.

I went to bed at 2:30 AM, woke up at 5:30 AM and had a cup of coffee and a donut, went back to sleep, but while holding the coffee cup, of course I spilled it on myself because I fell back to sleep before I put the cup down on the bedside shelf.. Had to put down towels (seems to be a THING around here lately!), and woke up at 10:30 AM and here I am. Still very sleepy feeling...?....but I am going to try to NOT fall back to sleep.

Today was a day when SiL came early to get Nannie up, dressed, and take her to daycare, so I didn't have to see or speak to either of them. I think today is the day when one of the iL's gets Nannie and takes her to her PCP appt as follow-up after her stint in the rehab facility. They will also bring her home, but I'm not sure of what time that will be, but I hope it might not be until after 3-ish. Naturally I am happy enough that I don't have to go pick her up and bring her home, but the timing of her return probably won't be at 4:45 PM, which would be my preference.

It's supposed to get up to the low 90's today. I don't have to go out anywhere except for walking Tinker a few times.

Joe, I hope your cat has something 'workable' by the vet. If you have to put her down, would you get another cat? An older one or a kitten ?  I wouldn't mind having an older, (ie settled-down) cat, but that won't be doable unless Nannie and Tinker are no longer with me, so it won't be happening any time soon.

I have to get up and get dressed before I decide 'to heck with it' and pull up the covers and close my eyes. It is an extremely close race! And of course, as almost always, I also have laundry to do. YAWN!

j-22, have you seen the t-shirt which says "Gardening is cheaper than therapy, plus you get tomatoes". I thought of you when I saw it.

Hello all!

Spent a couple hours this morning with online support re: inability to update Windows since 3/22.  Ended up re-installing Win11 (with online help).  Things seem to be running OK now.  Fingers crossed.  As I told the online assist person, "I am no techno-nerd."  Our internet speed is woefully slow, and we've known this for awhile.  Dh thinks someone in the area has tapped in, and is drawing bandwidth from our acct.  Dunno, maybe.

Ciri continues to take her meds in her food and is doing well.

However, dh noticed Little Doggy has a swelling on left side of his face.  He ate well, and doesn't seem to be bothered if dh touches the swollen area.  Dh made an appointment for tomorrow with the vet.

Gotta go, more later!  Have a good evening!

Joe, I hope the cat turns out to be treatable.

Stars, I'm sorry for the mess(es) you had to deal with. I have to admit I'm starting to consider life without the finger sucking and without having to make sure someone is home all the time and ... and... you know what I mean. I have some fond memories of Gma. She lived 95.5 years and the quality of her life for the last few has not been great. We've settled on a date for her service - April 16.

I had a moment of increased awareness about sepsis and post sepsis syndrome and I think that is what happened with my sister.

Hubs was using our desktop computer for something the other night... I think trying to make room on his phone for more photos because stepson and niece were sending him lots of Gma photos. ANYWAY, he kept cussing Microsoft. The solutions I offered were disregarded. ?

Church ladies brought us a big crockpot full of beef and vegetables yesterday. I hope there are no objections if that is tonight's dinner again. They also brought an apple pie, but that is gone already.
