Ado hopefully the allergist can help with the hives

Hi Stars

Dianah that reminds me I need to get my tax info together

Work was pretty good most of yesterday, never really got too busy. Towards the end of the day got a new case, managed to do the majority of work on it so the person covering wouldn't have to do too much.  Then got another one right before I left, wasn't able to do anything with that one.  Thankfully do not have many tasks for the person covering

Rest of the day was pretty quiet, stopped at the grocery store and library and got my hair cut

Today have the day off.  Will stop at the Arboretum and also do some cleaning and exercise.  Will try not to pack my day off with stuff to do, like I normally do

Will get up to 60 today, unusually warm.  Quite foggy currently

Good morning!

Didn't have much to say the last two work days that wasn't overly negative so I stayed quiet.

Getting my car serviced right now.  Need new tires and a few little odds and ends that will cost a lot but needs to be done.  I took the free shuttle home.   I made a 7AM appointment which sounded like a good idea at the time I made it.

Trying to get ahold of the bank but on terminal hold.  I tried to do online financing for my remodeling and ran into a snag.

Have a GI appointment this afternoon.

We're warming up to the 80's the next few days.

It is a cold 55 degrees, breezes are cold, sky is overcast, and I got lots of mud on my shoes when I walked Tinker. Trash has not been picked up yet, but there is only one trash bag in the bin. The recycling bin has maybe 8 inches of recycling stuff in the bottom of it, so even if it is the recycling pickup day, it won't need to be emptied. I lose track every week if it is the 'every-other-week' of recycling pickup. Rely on seeing what the other neighbors have set out....one bin or two. How exciting.

I slept well from 2-4 AM, then 4;30-8 AM, and then 8:10 AM- 12:45 PM. I dreamed a lot but don't remember too much except it had the usual locations: a hospital and some college buildings on the same campus, which I am always in and a shopping mall nearby, which I did not go to in this particular dream. Interactions with some hospital personnel, kind of busy dream activity. I'm glad the only time I have to be at work at a hospital is in my dreams and not in real life!

It's Friday and I don't have anything planned. Of course, as usual there are things I could do, but not an awful amount that seems too pressing. For the second day in a row I have waited too late to start the beef stew I have planned on making. I could make my fried chicken livers. Or I could sit here and not do much of anything. I frequently get top grades in procrastination!

There is a squirrel that is having a busy day --- it has been going back and forth between the neighbors yard and across our yard and into the woods. It carries something in its mouth but I haven't decided if it is bringing something to its nest or carrying something elsewhere. Is a puzzlement! Makes Tinker very excited and vocal:  bark, BARK, BARK, BARK !!! She also dances and jumps on her hind feet , and her front paws are making marks all over the glass door that I cleaned off two days ago.

Almost time to eat something for my breakfast/lunch. I am thinking of having smoked salmon and some creamed spinach, or maybe some I dunno what! Definitely something EASY to prepare.

I obviously have nothing going on to chat about, so I will submit this post and go on with my day ------------- whatever that entails. ?

I have a calendar for trash and recycling days on my fridge but mostly rely on whether or not my neighbors have put theirs out as well.

They were slow picking my up to get my car out of the shop so best friend volunteered to take me.

I got ahold of someone in the loan department who said other people have had some glitches on the website and she was able to get some information on the phone and I had the loan approved and put in my account within a couple of hours.  Signed the documents by email.  Almost too easy.  I most likely will pay it back long before it's due to be paid but off in three years.  Haven't heard from the contractor who said he would send me a contract and estimate on Tuesday or Wednesday.  Typical of how business is done here, they say one thing and do another much later.  I'm in no hurry though.  I need to pick out what color I want the room painted and what tile I want him to get.  He also has to order the doors that need to be replaced so it's going to take a few months or longer until it's done.  I've seen work he's done and he does a good job.

I went to the grocery store, and did some laundry and changed the sheets so it hasn't been a total waste of the day.

I read a quote that essentially said that "even doing nothing is doing something."  ☺️

I got all the tax papers together and organized.  Got a second load of laundry in the dryer.  We have reviewed our schedule and reserved a few days in the next couple months, to go to Disneyland.  Today it is 92 degrees!  Should be hot again tomorrow then cool down by 15 degrees or so.    I have a gray tabby cat on my lap and am watching The Rifleman.

Tweety, glad the loan went through, that the glitch stopped.  What colors are you considering?

No Stars, I can imagine little Tinker bark-bark-barking at the squirrels and leaves!

Joe, enjoy your day off!

Have a good evening!

I drove sis to Seattle yesterday for an MRI. Traffic was surprisingly light. I was still exhausted by the time I got home. Today we met with our financial advisor. She likes to do a yearly review, and we are looking okay.

We had a quick lunch (cream of broccoli soup, yum!) and then he went to an eye appt, and I got new jeans and came home. I watched the Pitt with the dogs. The dogs don't bark much, except when someone knocks at the door, in real life or on TV.

Youngest son did his taxes, it looked like he was getting $89 return. But he actually got $2000 back, with little explanation other than they are going to send a certified letter. Thats weird.

I don't file taxes and haven't since before hubby passed away; I don't 'earn' enough to be taxed. But the gov't could send me a $2,000 check and I wouldn't question it, I'd slam it into the checking acct faster than you can spell supercalifragilisticexpialidosis. And I could spend it all in less than half a day!
