Last Monday I applied for a position at a local hospital that "preferred" 1 year of experience but since it wasn't a requirement I applied. It is in my dept of choice and thought it was a worth a shot. I just graduated and received my license in June so this job hunting is all new to me Late Friday afternoon I received an email from HR saying "we are pleased to inform you your application was forwarded to the hiring manager for review. If you are selected for an interview, they will contact you within 2-3 weeks".
Is this a typical part of the process? I definitely don't want to get my hopes up over something so small but it made me a little excited that I at least wasn't denied immediately. Do all applicants generally get forwarded? Thanks for any input :)
