Forsyth Tech ADN Spring 2017

Anyone on here planning on applying to the ADN Spring 2017 program at Forsyth Tech? I believe the deadline to apply will be in late September.

I'm sure they will go over it at orientation, but you should have a card for CPR certification and you can go online and print out your CNA registry here: NC HCPR: Verify Registry Listings (scroll down a bit and there is a place to put in your social # and name).

Go to "Web Advisor Menu" --> "Web Advisor for Students" -->"My Academic Profile" --> "Program Evaluation" and you should see a change there.

Thank you RN2BeMomma7

Thank you sooooooo much ! I emailed and went up to the office for questions about that and vaccinations today. They said that they would go over it later in the month. Ummmmm....I am not trying to wait til there are a few weeks left to get my stuff in. She said we will go over them as a whole. Sigh...that's too long to wait to make sure I have the right things prepared if you ask me.

Hi everyone!

I just want to let you guys know that the AHA BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card has been replaced by the BLS Provider card (the old Healthcare provider card was no longer issued as of April 2016). I think if you're already CPR certified with the old card you should by fine at least up until April 16th, 2018, or whenever it expires- whichever comes first. Here is the link to this info on the AHA website and its on page 11.

Good luck everyone! hope this helps! :)

Yes, it is my understanding that they are only good for two years.

I am so excited and nervous about this ! How is everyone on preparing for this Spring ?

I'm feeling the same!!! Mostly excited. & I have a friend that's in the program now that has been keeping me up to date with what we will need with the vaccinations and things like that! You can message me on Facebook. I think we are friends.

Anyone know about the background checks? Do we get them or does the department run them on us...or...

Does anyone know when registration will be? Is it going to be at the end of the month, or will it be after November 7th?

Thanks in advance! :)

They are going to let us register in the mandatory orientation by us randomly selecting from a stack of papers.
