Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

You need to follow the state requirements for foreign trained nurse which will be found on their website. You will need CES report from CGFNS and we recommend full course. You are looking at approx 4-6 months before obtaining permission to test. Check out the NCLEX forum in the student section regarding studying for the test.

Moving to the International forum although you are in the US it is slightly different for foreign nurses

Maryland BON

It is still the same requirements for licensure, even if one holds a US passport, but trained out of the US. Instructions for the foreign nurse need to be followed.

Please also be aware that Maryland also has a language requirement that needs to be met before they will permit you to sit for that exam.

Thanks for your suggestions...........now i'm gonna do apply.

Specializes in Nephro, ICU, LTC and counting.
