Fogginess and Memory

I have been there. In my case it was not the activity but the poor habits develeped due to stress. I saw a holistic doctor, who gave my Metagenics Wellness essentials and iron. It made all the difference, now I remember not just Calc and A+P but where my keys are.

Also I have to think about my own mental process, I think about cooking dinner when I walk through the door. I don't think about making sure that the keys are there the next morning. I have had to make that as important as A&P.

I would seek professional help, just to make sure there isn't some sort of vitamin or mineral deficiency involved. A mineral deficiency was the root of my couple months' battle with CRS (Can't Remember ____)

As I read through this thread I begin to see a pattern, this has something to do with being 29?....maybe?

But seriously, being overloaded is enough to do this to you. Your brain can only hold so much and soon the overflow is lost . However I do think you should see a Doc as Marie says. It is very likely that you are not eating and resting well and could be deficent in something. Now when you get to my age and it happens again...well, just go with it.

Thank you so much for responding!! I just know that is what it is. I think I can conquer the world, but I just found out I couldnt. I had 2 jobs, school, husband, children, childrens choir director, praise team member, deaconess duties, job laying me off, looking for another job, party planner for our social group, threw 4 surprise parties in one month... yes.... my brain said forget it. I started getting nausous even and headaches everyday. Plus doc said iron was low. So I did this, quit 2nd job, started taking vitamins, fish oil and alpha lipoic acid. It has helped alot. But I know I have a long way to go. Im going to look into this metagenics wellness asap. Thanks guys (and gals)

Today the tears flowed so I went to my car. I had 2 tests, son had baseball practice and I had to work after school. One hour later I was fine. I worry about what others think but I have always done this, even when I was a teen. Does anybody else do this or am I the only tear crazy?

Oh heck no, you're not alone by any means. And here's what I think...What a healthy way to relieve stress. Other than a headache now and then from crying , it's the best way to clean away and freshen up. Just like a good rain.

Did you ever see the movie "Broadcast News" ? Holly Hunter does it every morning before she goes into her world of stress and then functions just fine.

Good for you for crying instead of pouring all your stress out on to others, It has to come out somehow or it makes you sick.

hope this posts.....your post, Skittles, caught my attention.....(love the ca ndy, by the way!) I just wanted to say that my fogginess and memory deficits started gradually in my teens. Now, in my 40's, I am discovering that they are irreversible, and my life has changed dramatically.There are so many things I can no longer do...and even though this brain atrophy that I was born with could not have been stopped, its progression could have been prolonged---if I hadn't been too stubborn to take the time to notice.

I think that I have learned alot. You see, God had to teach me this way. I am fortunate in alot of ways....because I have early Alzheimer's, I know to label everything, I know to create scrapbooks, I know that I should live for the moment, and cherish every day.

In spite of everything that has been accomplished, one thing I hope to never forget.......something my mom said to me a long time ago...."Always

In response to the crying post? Crying is a healthy outlet. Because we cry--we shed our tears and open up our hearts to God.
