FNU Class 146

I have applied for FNU Class 146, and now I am in the waiting game to see if I get accepted. I know they tell you they let you know 6-8 weeks before Frontier Bound date, but I was wondering if they do let you know earlier? What has others experienced? Is there anyone else waiting? Thanks everyone!!!

They send an email after they recieve all of your packet and let you know which class you are applying for. I would think they would tell you it was closed and bump you up to the next class. When I applied, I clicked the wrong FB date and they let me know it was closed already. It just automatically sent me to the next class.

Good point! My email did say class 146 on it, and my application wasn't received until 10/19/15. So, I'm assuming they didn't close it early. I had to take statistics again as my class was 11 years old :(, otherwise I would have applied sooner!

Oh shucks! You barely missed the cut off. Mine is 9 years old so I'm praying I get in within a year.

Hello Kaci! I doubt they closed class 146 early (should have been right on time when the deadline date was) and so far it looks like the deadline has not been extended (they would have changed the deadline date on the admissions calendar for Class 146 if it was). I hope we hear back the earliest possible (which would be the first or second week of December), but could be much closer to the FB date too (6 weeks out instead of 8 or 10). The suspense is taxing lol. I am also super excited though and can't wait till they make a decision! I am no where near Louisiana.

Kaci, did you apply for CNM, FNP, or WHNP?

I applied for FNP. How about you?

The same, FNP! I hope we hear from them in a few more weeks!

Did you guys notice that the FB date changed for class 146? It was starting somewhere around Feb. 15 and today it says Mar. 7! I wonder if that means we'll have to wait a bit longer to hear if we got in...probably does! Major sigh. But, I think that's a much better time to visit Kentucky! Less snow, right?

Ugh I just noticed that too!! The deadline was never extended, so that's a good sign, but I'm curious as of why they changed the FB date (maybe a conflict or something). I hope we won't have to wait too much longer, the waiting is the hardest part (by the looks of it we will probably hear something in January now though)! I guess I will have to find other coverage for the new dates since I had the originally dates covered already just in case. Tis is life!

I have been seriously considering FNU for their DNP, however I am having some concerns about their national accreditation. Has anyone else heard of the reevaluation of recognition status of ACEN?

I hadn't heard about that! It looks like they are optimistic. Something to keep an eye on, for sure.

You can add me to the list of people in the dreaded waiting game! I hope we hear back sooner rather than later due to FB dates being pushed back. The suspense is already killing me!

It's kind of strange that they didn't notify us of the change in FB dates, don't you think? Although maybe not, it's not like we know if we need to plan yet anyway...

Here's to hoping they notify us of our status in December anyway! :)
