I left IPN 3 years ago due to horrible personal tragedy. I am now resigning and being forced to undergo an evaluation. I am finding they are forcing these VERY expensive hair tests now. I have nothing to hide but do all the evaluators make you pay for this very expensive test? I'm so disappointed , $850 is a ridiculous amount of money for a single mom not working!

Unfortunately, I think it is the norm now. My last evaluation was $1200, included hair, blood and an observed urine. It was recommended by the evaluator that I enter his treatment facility. Even though all my test were negative and I had already been in IPN 3 years.
And please so everyone knows I am not trying to try and cheat tests, nor promote using and cheating testing! I'm simply complaining about the cost, aka venting!
Really? This is crazy! I've been sober 6 years and I'm certain all my tests will be negative. So disappointed .

I posted this in one of ypur other posts but.... I have recently started my journey with IPN... I'm pretty sure all evaluations will require a hair test. Just a word of advise (I learned the hard way) make sure your evaluation is with an independent doctor. Most of the ones in Tampa own or are associated with a treatment facility. See an evaluator that has no hidden agendas...

Amen! Of course anyone with a financial interest in a treatment center is going to recommend treatment that his facility can conveniently offer. I think we go in there and those people see nothing but a cash cow walking in. Moo! i want to know why they insist on all this expensive testing if the recommendation is going to be overpriced, possibly useless "treatment" regardless of the results?
