First 2 weeks in nursing school

Going from summer Pharm and right into nursing school. 2 weeks under my belt yeah!

I have learned so much. 1) the school seems to own all of my time. 2) there are not enough hours in the day. 3) Some close buddies make it more doable 4) WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!

As a surgical tech I am used to this type of stress but I am older now. Works for me and against me. I will say that I am grateful for this opportunity and I will make it to the end.

I am in a large group. 105. Patience is a virtue!!

So for 2 years I will do whatever is humanly possible to be successful. This website has been a great place to get some incite and the nurse who recently posted about clinical etiquette, she is spot on. I would teach students in surgery and if they messed up or spoke out of turn it was my butt on the line. Good luck to all of you. Study hard. Be organized and use common sense. .

Our first test is Tues. 16 chapters weeeee!!!

I'm pretty overwhelmed. So far only been graded on four assignments. Two "A" and two "B" grades. Feeling like if I skip ONE DAY of reading/studying, I will sink like a rock. Checked off on a dozen skills (Until we start clinical in two weeks, where we will have to be checked off at the hospital on those same skills).

So much information!! This wk now will be the third wk for me...and my first test coming up on wed. Wish me luck!! Gotta stay focused!!

We can do it!! Just work hard and study study study :)

I know the feeling!
