First week paranoia.

Well, the first week of school is over. I'm actually liking it a lot more than I thought I would. And,even though A&P 1 is my hardest class,it's also my favorite so far.

I was just wondering, does anyone else get worried about whether or not they're actually 'learning' something? If you're really getting it?

I've been studying pretty well for A&P,making flash cards and such, and so far we have had one Quiz and a few review questions (My instructor gives one review question per class. She asks a question, and gives us 10 seconds to write down our answer and pass it to the front. It's also worth points.) I got every question right on the quiz and the review questions. So,I guess I'm doing well, right?

*sigh* I'm just paranoid,I think. :uhoh21:

I always wonder if I'm LEARNING or MEMORIZING information.

Exactly!

I'm in Pathophysiology right now and our instructor touches on things we learned in A&P 1 and 2 and Microbiology. I figure if I don't remember, I'll do my research and look it up in my A&P book.

In other words, learn what you can, remember what you can and study what you don't remember. I really don't think that they actually expect us to retain what has been "fire-hosed" at us in a semester. A few things will stick and now (once you're done) you'll know where to find the answer!

Good luck!

I loved A&P. I too made my own flash cards with the word in the front and function in the back. Also, wrote about 4 questions about it and had to answer them. That way I knew exactly where it was, what it did, why it did it, what it needed to do it, etc :rotfl:
