first job!!

My boss called me today to officially offer me a position. She told me my base pay is $22, $2 differential and an extra 50 cents for working weekends. This is my very first RN job. I never had any CNA experience and I only have an ADN. Does that pay seem accurate? Or low? I really don't care since I'm glad I even have a job right now. I just wanted to know if I'm being lowballed.

Average base pay, low weekend and shift diff. As a new grad I made $23/hour + 3.00 an hour for nights + 5.00 an hour for weekendS

That depends where you are located and if it's an acute care or LTC position, for northern CA that would be a very low offer, other states I am not sure

It's Massachusetts and I'll be starting on the long term care floor at a nursing home. Maybe that's a little below average? Oh well. As long as I'm a job I'm happy. I need the experience anyways

If you don't have any better offers, then that's a good offer.

In southwestern Ohio, they offer around that much--22, 23. I got a little more than that due to the fact that I was a LPN prior to being a RN. Our facility does 15% shift differential and 10% for weekend shifts. But thats also for a very large and busy trauma 1 hospital.

22 as a new RN isnt a bad deal for LTC.
