I am so happy to say that I passed my first semester. It didn't seem like I would for a little bit but I made it! Now I don't start class again until Jan, 11 and I feel weird having all this free time!

Congrats, I know how you feel. Although classes begin on the 11th I have about a week and I need to begin readings the day after Christmas. Our first quiz, which counts 5% of our grade is an hour into the first class. Good luck in seconde semester.

Congratulations, I finished last week and go back the 19th. Just got our letter with our next semester Clinical Information today and stuff we have to do. But I have been spending a ridiculous amount of time on facebook now that I am done and trying to pre study med/surge. lol

I will be starting my 1st semester on Jan 11th.
Do you mind sharing suggestions, study tips, do's and dont's with all of us that will be starting in January?

DO's:
read before going to class
start NCLEX questions (best book, REVIEWS & RATIONALES)
learn as much as you can
hang out with people that are on the same "page as you"
practice your skills over and over on the lab and at home
ask whenever you are bogled!
pay attention on pharmachology and learn it! (memorizing is a waste of time, since you will need to know this for life, that is our ABC's!)
be humble
study like a turtle!!! little by little, but every day!
DONT'S
be around people that complain too much
be around dramatic people who only waste time
show off
carry anybody on your back! (they will compete to the same job you will)
miss lecture
procrastinate
cram
do anything without thinking
Thanks Helpingothersinlife!! Great Advice.
Other students that have just completed the 1st semester, tips are welcome!!
