Finding your niche

Hello, to all of the nurses on AN! I have a question for all of you. How did you find your niche? Did you discover your niche in school or did you just stumble across it? Also, how long did it take for you to find your niche?

    I found mine while in nursing school and it was as much about the type of people who gravitate to my specialty as it was an interest in the patients and their diagnoses. The value of your team can be underrated so I would recommend checking out the employee dynamics and see where you feel comfortable.

    I found mine in my LAST semester of nursing school. I was so scared that I wouldn't find the specialty I fit in to...but that ER rotation changed my life! I absolutely love ER nursing and cannot see myself doing anything else. Ever. Lol

    You will find your niche. Just keep an open mind during clinicals and it will find you :)
