Hello Everyone! I'm Currently a Nursing student at Frederick Community College, as graduation approaches ( Spring of 2017) I can't help thinking about how difficult will it be to find a job. I would really love to work at a teaching hospital such as Johns Hopkins or University of Maryland Medical center. I was wondering if anyone could give me advise as to how to increase my chances of getting hired at these hospitals or any other hospital.
Thank you in advance ! :)

Have you checked their requirements to see if they require a BSN? Does your program award a bachelors or an associates degree? If the latter, you will likely need to complete your BSN to be able to apply for those jobs if they do indeed require a BSN. Additionally, Baltimore is a metro area; I would not be surprised if new grad jobs are extremely competitive to get. You may need to be willing to expand your search to other facilities or areas to gain experience that would make you more competitive as an experienced RN if you aren't able to get a job there right out of school.

It all depends on the hospitals around you. Some won't look at you before you graduate. Others will let you interview and may give you an offer pending passing NCLEX. I graduate in Spring and have my applications out to two hospitals and am working on my third one. Now might be the time to start looking. I would start networking and seeing what's available.
