Okay, I've been looking ALL over for a CNA program in salem or near salem. I've looked at Salem hospital's CNA, chameketa's program, i've looked into Providance Benitictine, Marion Estates.. on the internet, I've called places, I've looked into nursing homes... and honestly i've got a massive head ache. I'm 17 and still in high school, and the one really really good cna program I found at Oregon State hospital, that actually pays, I cannot do because it starts may 27th and i get out of school in june. I'm taking as many classes as i can get my hands on while I'm in high school and they're still free lol.
So what i'm wondering is: am I on the right track? Does anyone know of any other CNA programs that I'm overlooking (that are during the summer)?? Where should I start? Where did you start out? Got any ideas/suggestions or opinnions? Anything helps!
Thank you soo much!

Check out your local chapter of the American Red Cross. Many of them offer CNA training classes.
Good luck!

Go to the Oregon state nursing board website, there is a list of all the places that offer the CNA class.
Thanks for all your help! I had been checking out a CNA training program through the Oregon State Hospital in salem, and it turns out that my high school is going to accomidate my "leave" to go to the training, if theyn accept me (becuase the program starts on may 27th and unfortunatly school isn't released until June 11th) I spoke with all my teachers and they're going to help me aswell. So all is going good so far, i turned in my app. for the program today and hopefully they think I'm worth while. I wrote a killer cover letter by the way, i hope thats atleast good for somthing. I'm also graduating early as to get employed after the training!
thanks again. :)
