Financing lpn to bsn

Can anyone give tell how they are financing school ? I would like to do it without taking out new loans if I can .I am told I make to much for real aid (grants) and I have a lot of loans from before. I don't want to be paying loans back for the rest of my life.

I am taking out loans through financial aid myself but my program is only 6k per year and I think that's a steal now a days. You could pay per semester if your able to work that much or find a job that will help finance your schooling.

I'm straddling this issue, as well. I will graduate LVN school in a few weeks. One option I am considering is to finish up my remaining prereqs to start an RN or LVN-RN program at a local public college. This will cost me nearly nothing. Of course, it will be difficult, if not impossible to work while in this type of program because they aren't made for working students.

My other option is to pay as I go as I attend a private LVN-RN bridge, such as University of Phoenix.

I did the calculations and I will (technically) not bring home very much money if I work full time and attend UOPHX, because of the high cost of tuition I will be self paying.

Tough call!!!
