Financial aid

Did you do the counseling?? in your list of things to do on the R side does it say you need to repeat counseling?? I had to.......

I am not sure but did you accept/decline.As for me i will accept the grant but will be declining the loans therefore i would assume the counseling does not apply. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Not for me either. Supposedly it comes from the 2012/2013 aid though.

I hope I get financial aid for the fall. Paying out of pocket is killing me financially. I wonder what the income cutoff limit is to receive aid. Hoping I don't have to take a loan out, but if I qualify for a low interest rate stafford loan I just might take out about 2k so I can load up on units and try to finish in December instead of dragging it out until next April.

So when you pay, do you just make the deduction yourself and pay the remaining balance? Or do we have to pay the entire balance and when it is disbursed we get refunded? I checked online and it shows the pending aid but it is not deducted from the balance. Our due date for summer is June 21 (not sure how that is correct since we start classes on the 18th) and the scheduled disbursement date is July 1,2012.

I had to call and speak to someone in the financial aid office and they fixed it, so it took my deduction off. I don't have any thing showing for summer/fall yet. I need to call them.

Thanks, so we both will be calling them. Last week mine did not allow me access to the 2012/2013 but once it did, i saw the pending aid.

You should be OK to wait for your financial aid. If you do pay - you have to send them a letter requesting a refund of your money after your financial aid posts - they do not automatically send it back to you.
