:lol2: After a year of med/surg/tele. I finally have an OB job!!! I am so excited- just wanted to share my good news. I have been working med/surg to get some experience and finally someone is willing to take a chance on me. I am starting the new year in OB!!! Any advice is welcome!!!:D

Welcome aboard!! :yeah:

It will be a steep learning curve but well worth it. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be here x 4+ years now after 4 years of med/surg, then community. :)

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your new job.

I hope you will chime in on some of the threads in which people discuss how they feel they 'get trapped" by med-surg and can never switch. We need people like you to tell the other side of the story, too.

Thanks. I am excited and I can't wait to get started. I know that OB is a whole different ball game, but it is all I have ever wanted to do. I am very thankful for my chance. Though I am nervous, I feel pretty comfortable on my current unit and I am now changing not only units but I am leaving my small rural hospital to move on to a larger facility. It should be an exciting 2010!

Congratulations on the new job. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

Congradulations!
