I really want to work for FEMA. I am very interested in focusing on disaster relief. I have checked usajobs.gov and also FEMA's website. I do not see any positions for RN's. Does anyone have any info on them? I dont really know where to start?? Thanks in advance!

FEMA would be cool. I could handle disaster relief, but then how often do medical teams really deploy to disasters? The USPHS Commissioned Corps provides some medical and nursing staff for the Department of Homeland Security which is the umbrella that FEMA is under. Also, USPHS officers can become part of response teams for such crises that you're interested in. Many states (if not all) have similar teams. DMATs. Disaster Medical Assistance Teams.
