FCCA/CPNE help?

Published

Hey everyone!

I just passed my final exam last week and plan on taking both FCCA's at the same time starting in October and then hopefully get in to my CPNE early winter of 2014--fingers crossed.

I was wondering if anyone had any good guides they could email me? I've ordered a book and plan on using some of the online workshops, but I feel that experience and tips from EC grads is key. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also, has anyone taken CPNE at Madison, WI? Good site? Which hospital is best?

Thanks in advance!

I used RobsCPNE.com for my study info for my CPNE (that and the CPNE Study Guide the college sends you).

For my FCCA, I just studied the stuff presented online and used the books I already had (mainly Fundamentals of Nursing).

I am starting both FCCA's in October as well......If you find any good guides, let me know...we are on the same track.

Regarding the FCCA and discussions, please read the following thread, which is one of the FAQs at the bottom of the forum: https://allnurses.com/excelsior-college-online/very-important-information-714112.html

I assume I can ask about Study material but not content... Starting FCCA in October as well as looking at Madison. What study guides are being used with success?

the only study guide for FCCA that I have found is studygroup101 Home it's 11.99 other than the recommended books of course

Before I even continue to read this post with my jaw on the floor, did I read correct that you may have 14 months wait to take CPNE ???

CPNE wait time is like 3 to 6 months, or 4 to 7 months, or something in that ballpark.

I think they are referring to winter semester, so the first 4 months of 2014.

As for time, it really depends on which region you sign up in and how many facilities you put in for, as well as if you can do the cancellation dates of others.

I tested in Lubbock, only place I put in for, and one of the longer waits. I put my stuff in first of November, it was all approved first part of January, got a test date end of January for mid March. I canceled that one at the end of Feb and got another one at the end of May.

took the FCCA 274 c yesterday and passed, but I still have the FCCA 274 A head to toe assessment in two days- any thoughts or helpful hints - care plans are my weak link

Discussing the FCCA, especially while enrolled, violates EC's academic honesty policy. Please read the following post: https://allnurses.com/excelsior-college-online/very-important-information-714112.html

Thanks!

I passed all 8 exams with very little book studying and all 3 FFCA module exams with no book is the study material they called required necessary to pass FCCA final exam
