Hey all. I'm fairly new to LTC, though not to nursing.
I'm curious - do you all have any cheat sheets, tools, resources, anything you just love that helps make doing your job well easier?
I've always had my 'special tools' for peds, nicu, med-surg, mental health, and so on, but have yet to build up my tool kit for LTC/Geriatrics.
I am hoping this will spawn a discussion that helps not only me build a tool-kit, but others as well.
So, thoughts?

Google. I Google everything that I'm not familiar with. :) Otherwise, I don't have any cheat sheets to speak of. We have AHT (eMar/eTar) so I write out tx's and such at the beginning of every shift and that becomes my "brain sheet" for keeping me on track as well as frees me up from having to run back and forth to the computer. I also jot down pertinent info on it and cross things off as I address them. I don't think I could function without it.
