Don't report, especially if you have a good rapport with the pharmacy and if they don't have a track record of mistakes. This stuff just happens and Phamacists catch...uh, help me all the time. Let the mother do the complaining if she so wishes (I bet not).

Just tell mom, "oh you know crazy Pharmacies, they are so busy, thank goodness you didn't have to wait an hour...they have the liquid too, you can pick it up anytime, call me back if he/she still has trouble and we'll try something else, blah, blah, blah" Got to maintain that excellent customer service.

I have learned it is far easier to kill'em with kindness than argue, esp over the lovely phone.

You don't want to make an enemy of your friends and believe me, in healthcare, the DPharm is your friend. Anyone disagree?

No disagreement from me here. I especially love it when they call me to repoirt all the other narcotics my patients are on from different docs and do I really want them to fill new RX.....Thanks pharmacy.

Also, My patients average 6-8 meds- very difficult to check all interactions in clinic, (I'm not talking about the big ones here guys). Thanks again pharmacists!

Also, if you ever have a question- can't remember what's in magic mouthwash I call on my friends- my private sector pharamcists, they are generally happy to share info, a great resource.

thanks everyone i am new and appreciate the advice, there should be no harm, she was on bactrim untill the cx came back and the abx needed to be changed, i had trouble changing the rx due to pt age medicaid and availiblity of getting what i wanted in liquid form. ciprpo liquid was available ( i am not crazy about cipro)and the furodantin needed to be ordered. The pharm when i called was like oh oh how did that happen, I do have a good rapport with the pharmacy

thanks they help me out too and make recomendations and let me know in a pleasant way that hey that script you wrote did you really mean to order such and such amount me oh did i write for that and they are nice
