Fau Traditional and Accelerated Program 2015

Published

Hello,

I am new to this site. I am planning to apply to the nursing program at FAU for May 2015. I am not sure whether to take the Traditional or the Accelerated route. I will have my bachelors degree from FAU this December 2014. I heard they also have interviews. I wonder how many questions they ask???

Does anyone know if it's harder to get into the traditional or accelerated program?

If anyone that just got accepted for May 2014 what was your cum gpa, science gpa and teas score, and how did you study for the teas and how long you studied the teas for.

HI..Iam applying to the may 2015 cohort as well. im excited and cant wait

Yay! Here comes a long journey and having to wait now..Any other schools you are applying too?

Hey, I plan to apply to FAU's ABSN program in 2015 too. I'll be checking this thread periodically.

I graduated YEARS ago, and all I need are the sciences, that I plan to have complete by Dec.

Great Grindaholic! Where are you taking your sciences?

Anybody from FAU nursing program please let us know what you guys think of the program. Were the professors helpful ? That's my biggest concern.

I plan to apply to FAU for their next round of applications for the accelerated program too! I'll be finished with my prerequisites this summer. I'm taking them at Broward College. Good luck!

I just got the teas book and it looks like it covers alot of info. I'm getting kind of scared! I wonder how hard it is.

You guys should look up FAU 2014 trend. You can meet students who just got accepted for May 2014 and they could possibly answer some questions.

Thanks MzJazBerrie. Are you applying to FAU 2015 too? Have you taken the teas test? if so how did you study.

Hey Nicustudent (and fellow pre-nursing students),

The FAU ABSN program is my FIRST choice. It is ideal because it has the best stats as far as pass rate, expediency, and its extremely close to me. I'm taking my sciences at Broward and will be done this December, just in time to apply.

I'll visit the previous FAU threads...it will be a while before this one picks up.

I am not applying for May 2015, I applied for May 2014 but didn't get in. But it is okay, I got accepted a school that was more of a #1 on my list. But I did get the ATI book they recommend. But I will say for the Science Portion, it did help to look at old class notes, textbooks, and do a little reading in addition to the ATI book. But I would look for trends on TEAS, there a lot of people who can tell you what they did and then you can decide what works best for you.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but FAU posted the application deadline and admission date. Looks like they shifted the program slightly. The deadline is September 2, 2014 for admission to January 2015! I personally think this is great because I'm done with pre-reqs over the summer.
