Failed THREE sections of TEAS

Failed reading by 10 points, Math by 16, and Science by 2. I passed all the practice reading tests. I have no idea why I failed it. Have had a tutor 2/wk for the last month and even saw her again last night for a last minute prep. I was shocked I didn't bomb science because that was the subject I was scared of.

Totally disappointed. I will retake the three I failed next week.

shoot. well that's unfortunate. Hmm, maybne just change it up some in the meantime. Seems like you were probably overworked, from what I'm hearing. Clear your mind the day before, and night of (maybe even doing something fun) - if you studied right, it'll show on the test date. No need to pretend you need to rush, overwork yourself with stress and cognitive failure the morning after. Hey, did you try studying too much you think? Give your brain time to digest the information overnight, and don't start studying right away when you wake up, did you allow your brain time to pull back the information in random bits and pieces? Stuff like that, personally, I find very astronomically beneficial.

I am sorry to hear that; I know you've been working hard on this. However, as the other poster said -- your brain needs a break. I know in the past when I tried too hard to cram a bunch of information into my brain, I have done worse on my test. You get information overload and you can't access the information that you are trying to recall.

My advice is to try and remember what you did poorly on and focus some attention on reviewing those items, but only for a couple of days this week. Also, since you have seen the test once, you should have a better idea of what information you don't need to worry about.

Then -- don't study at all over the weekend. Just relax and let that information settle into your long-term memory.

You can do this -- but you have to just relax let your brain do its job.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm sorry that happened hon! I didn't do well at all either. I probably failed the science part maybe? How do you know if you failed or not?

I took my test on the computer, and the results were tallied and provided directly after the exam.

Is there a certain percentage that means fail? I got my points right after also..but how do you know if you failed or not?

You school will require you to get a certain percentage. For my Keiser, you must get a score of 76% for Math, 70% in Reading, 56% in Science, and 75% in English. It may be different for your particular school. I have heard that other schools require different scores, so you should just check with your admission counselor.
