Failed Nlcex first time... Passed second time

Hello all! I just wanted to share my nclex journey.... I graduated nursing school in June, I took Nlcex in July... After 265 questions 4.5 hours I felt defeated and I knew I didn't pass :sorry: The first time I took Nclex I used the NCSBN website and a little of the Saunders book. I probably should have studied more but according to ATI placement test there was a 95% chance I'd pass on my first try.... Anywho fast forward to August 16th the day I took and passed Nlcex with 104 questions in 2 hours! I did the PVT got the good pop up and the next day my license number was up on the state website... What I used: Kaplan question trainers (esp 6&7) and UWorld, Uworld was great the rationales were amazing! I learned so much from them! So that's it! I just wanted to share my story because I read so many stories on here that inspired me and let me know that it's ok if you don't pass the first time.... That does not define you as a nurse!

My advice... Questions! Questions! Questions!!! Do as many questions as possible!

Congrats! I am using UWorld (finished 100% of it and redoing questions until my NCLEX). While I see that NCSBN and Saunders are popular study tools on AN, what are your opinion of it?

Congrats... I'm a Kaplan grad so I have access to their products but Uworld is awesome and I love using both products.

NCSBN was helpful lots of content and review questions with good rationales. I like Saunders while in nursing school but for NCLEX I didn't feel the questions where hard enough, it is a good resource for content because they keep it simple
