Hi everyone!
I know, I know, another post about failing NCLEX. I've read through a bunch of posts today and so many are contradictory.
I took my NCLEX yesterday and failed. I did 89 questions! I don't know what happened, my mind must have failed me somethin fierce... I did ATI and scored 70s-80s and also did Lippincott PassPoint tests which said I was well above the passing threshold. I tried the Saunders review book but found it was SO much information and that I was really only focusing on the parts with the green symbol for important haha
I'm able to re-write in 45 days and I'm wondering how to study a bit more effectively and to make sure that I don't turn into a basket of nerves during the test again. I'm also working full-time during this studying, so I need to figure out a good studying schedule that allows me to work 12 hour shifts and keep my sanity!
If any of you have any suggestions for a 5-week study plan of only studying like 3-4 days a week that would be great!
Thanks

Have you heard of Uworld? Also you may need content review how about hurst. When doing practice questions try not to do more than 75 a day especially if it's Uworld. Write down rationales and research what you don't understand.
Thanks for your reply. I did do hurst review and I absolutely loved it! I did have a trial of uworld in the days leading up to the test so I didn't have it for very long. Do you know if uworld is always above passing questions? I'm not sure I need content review but I need maybe more practice with the harder type questions since I continue to do really well on ati and lippincott practice exams. I score way above passing standard but on the test was below or near passing for every topic. I think I rushed through and need help with the actual test taking so it doesn't happen again haha

I used/ recommend nclex mastery app , a book by Lacharity - prioritization and delegation, and kaplan questions(i just don't recommend the in class portion of kaplan)

Test-taking strategies maybe Kaplan will work for you. As for hard questions, UWorld! It deflates my confidence because of how hard the questions are, lol. But the detailed rationales are gold and will definitely help you out! They're the most important part.
Perfect thanks! I'll keep using my free trial and then buy a month worth when that's over. Uworld is all above passing questions right? Harder ones?
Not sure what makes a question "above passing" but they're definitely hard, at least for me. You get the occasional "easy" questions but on the whole you really have to use your brain/critical thinking a lot. Many people seem to score in the 50s and low 60s (like me) if that shows you anything about the difficulty, haha.

I really loved Uworld! It gives you a lot of SATA, delegation and priority type questions. I reviewed every rationale. You said that you're worried you may be a bundle of nerves this time around. The layout of the Uworld screen and color scheme are very very similar to Nclex so that may help with your nerves. One of my friends has huge test anxiety and she said that helped her. Good luck!
Thank tou so much! I did use uworld but only for a couple days last time. I have my friends account which hasn't expired yet and plan to use it a lot more!
